Style tips from Paris: The Valentine spell

Now the City of love is the starting place for romantic reminders. When you look hard enough the signs are everywhere.

It’s true, this season colour is back. Techno bright, hyper saturation, ultra vitamins; they all mean the same thing. There is a new love affair with colour. It’s flamboyant and expressive.

Colour on colour is the new monochrome.

I’m just back from Paris where the designer stores are looking fantastic.
Lanvin, Joseph, Mui Mui, Marni, Chloe, Celine, Stella Maccartney, all looked great with super hyper colours for the new season.

Favourite colours were hot pinks, orange, bright tomato red and a bright golden yellow.

Skirts are back, also shorts and seventies style trouser suits or high waisted lose and fluid pants in new fresh colours.

This new statement in bright colours is often combined colour on colour, but also in strong combination with black, creating graphic contrast, or with white offering freshness to the vitality statement.

Check out the colour statements in Printemps which are super vibrant.
The key pieces from Jill Sander spring 11 collection, in the entrances, Printemps have really committed their consumers to colour.

It looks new and dynamic.
I think us as influencers; have a role to convince the consumers to,
‘Be brave!’ and ‘go for colour!’

Go for colour.
Creativity is imagination made real.

And being in Paris, has put my Valentine state of mind in a creative spin.

Just go with your heart!
You can be trying to hard, trying to be too cool.
The important thing is making your message clear.

Subtlety and being discrete will bring you anxious moments.

Did he/she know it was from me?
Did it work?
Has he/she received it?

Go straight to the point.
I know that I’m in love and I want you to know.

You know who you are

…..You are right here.
As usual.

Sidney.
