Cannes Film Festival “leak”- See the line up films in competition this year

“Leaky” Cannes 2012-Exclusive list of films in competition for the 65th festival next month

A slight mishap led to the disclosure of the list of films in competition in this year’s festival.

Take the chance to enjoy this ‘avant-premiere’ from Cannes.

Great to see that both the very young Xavier Dolan (23 years old), and acclaimed veteran director Manoel de Oliveira (103 years old) are represented. Previous Palme d’Or winners are also in contention with last year’s controversial winner Terrence Malick presenting his latest film, The Burial and 2007 winner Cristian Mungiu’s Provizoriu. Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest The Master with Philip Seymour Hoffman, follows his spell-binding There Will be Blood. High expectations are also with Jacques Audiard (Le Prophete) latest De Rouille et d’Os (Rust & Bone) with Marion Cotillard; and Ryan Gosling teams up again with Blue Valentine director, Derek Cianfrance in The Place Beyond the Pines.

An exciting fortnight awaits from the 16th May. Who do you think will carry away the coveted top prize and who are you surprised not to see on the list? Michael Haneke? Walter Salles?
